If you’re early in your coaching career, or understand the power of integrating coaching as part of your professional practice, the ACC is a great place to start. This entry-level credential is designed to help you solidify your role as a professional coach, gain recognition for your skills, and lay the foundation for future growth. As the first level of ICF credentialing, the ACC signifies your commitment to professional standards and ongoing development.
Take the first step toward becoming a professionally certified coach with MMS’s Level 1 program—ICF-accredited and rooted in over 50 years of transformational coaching excellence. This 66-hour program equips you with the skills, knowledge, and experience required to earn the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential. You’ll gain real-world coaching practice, structured feedback, and expert mentorship to help you grow into a confident and effective coach.

- 54-hours of MMS Coach Training Zoom Classroom
- 12-hours of Resource Development Homework
- (8) ICF Core Competencies
- Code of Ethics & ICF Definition of Coaching
- 10 Hours Mentoring:
- 7 hours in Group +
- 3 hours (one-on-one) which can be used with your mentor coach
ICF Requirements:

- One final evaluation session demonstrating ACC status

Module 1: The Overview of Coaching
Module 2: How the World has Changed
Explores how global shifts in the past 50 years created the need for coaching. Covers trends in communication, leadership, and human development. Participants reflect on the relevance of coaching in today’s world.
Module 3: ICF - “Chemistry Session”
Introduces the coaching mindset and how to assess coach-client fit. Clarifies the difference between coaching, therapy, consulting, and mentoring. Participants explore mindset models and MMS’s 4 Criteria for coachability.
Module 4: Goals and Objectives
Highlights the importance of clear, coachable goals. Teaches how to establish effective coaching agreements. Participants learn to shift from circular to purposeful thinking using tools like “Should vs. Want.”
Module 5: Why Coaching is so Effective/Agreement
Focuses on co-creating the coaching relationship with presence, integrity, and trust. Emphasizes releasing ego, advice-giving, and hidden agendas. Builds awareness of what makes coaching transformative.
Module 6: ICF - Evokes Awareness/Grow Model
Centers on the ICF competency of Evoking Awareness. Teaches self-awareness tools, mindfulness, and the Grow Model. Participants practice how to help clients generate meaningful insights.
Module 7: Methods & Theories Contribute to Coaching
Explores key thinkers and psychological theories that influenced modern coaching. From Socrates to Jung to Dr. Chérie, this module honors the lineage of transformational learning. Emphasizes coaching as a synthesis of wisdom traditions.
Module 8: ICF: Co-Creating the Relationship Trust/Safety
Covers how to create a safe, empathetic coaching space. Participants learn about feelings, emotional intelligence, and how to support clients in emotional self-awareness. Builds a strong foundation for vulnerability and trust.
Module 9: ICF - Communicating Effectively: Listening
Teaches active listening, presence, and powerful questioning. Focuses on how to fully hear and reflect clients to deepen their self-awareness. Introduces summarizing and restating to build clarity and connection.
Module 10: ICF Code of Ethics, Coach Mindset, Presence
Explains the ICF Code of Ethics and what it means to be an ethical coach. Discusses cultural sensitivity, ethical dilemmas, and boundaries. Encourages participants to embody integrity in their coaching practice.
Module 11: ICF - Cultivating Learning & Growth into Action
Covers the final ICF competency cluster—designing actions, setting goals, and maintaining accountability. Participants explore how to help clients bridge insight to action. Introduces concepts like the “Coaching Bubble” and energy exchange.
Module 12: ICF - Cleaning the Vessel and Triggers
Focuses on emotional triggers and personal growth. Coaches learn to “clean their vessel” through self-awareness and reflection, so they can show up fully present for clients. Emphasizes ongoing learning and supervision.
Module 13: Negaholics & Choice, Decision, Managing Beliefs
Addresses clients who are stuck in negativity or self-sabotage. Introduces the concept of “Negaholics” and the impact of beliefs on mindset. Participants learn tools to help clients move from resistance to possibility.
Module 14: Sub-personalities/Voices of the Mind
Explores how inner conflicts show up in client behavior. Coaches learn to recognize sub-personalities and guide clients in integrating competing internal voices. Builds skills in deep listening and transformational questioning.
Module 15: ICF - When to Refer to a Professional
Teaches when coaching is not appropriate and when to refer to other professionals. Covers signs that a client is outside the scope of coaching. Participants learn to navigate boundaries with care and professionalism.
Module 16: ICF - Organization/Coaching Specialties
Provides a clear understanding of ICF as an organization. Clarifies certifications, acronyms, and coaching specialties—from executive to parenting to grief coaching. Helps participants position themselves in the coaching marketplace.
Module 17: ICF - The Credentialing (Exam)
Prepares participants for the ICF ACC exam. Offers study strategies, sample questions, and guidance to build confidence. Reinforces mastery of the ICF Core Competencies and ethical standards.
Module 18: Living Life as a Coach (Completion)
